Alternative Press books to be bigger
Lower paper prices passed on to readers
The most recent comic book distributors catalogs list information for Alternative Press, Inc. titles Spectacles #2 and indy Magazine #18 shipping in May. The catalogs list Spectacles #2 and indy Magazine #18 as 24 pages and 64 pages respectively. Alternative Press, Inc. has decided to give readers more for their money by increasing each by 8 pages for the same low cover price. This makes Spectacles #2 a 32-page comic book and indy Magazine #18 a 72 page magazine!
"Paper prices have come down from their peak at around this time last year," Publisher Jeff Mason explains, "so we are passing the savings on to our readers. Because it is now less expensive for us to add pages to the books, we are trying to make the books a better buy by adding those pages and keeping the price the same."
