Dash Shaw is a recent graduate of The School of Visual Arts, New York City. He was born in Los Angeles, California and was raised in Richmond, Virginia and Nagoya, Japan. He just moved back to Richmond, where he works as an illustrator and occassional figure-drawing model. He hopes to produce a new comic book every 1 or 2 years for the rest of his life; he's currently working on a book titled The Bottomless Belly-Button, which takes place at a beach house.
