Henderson nominated for Harvey Awards
Sam Henderson has been nominated for a 2001 Harvey Award in two categories, Special Award for Humor, and for Best Anthology for Nickelodeon Magazine, published by Nickelodeon. This also marks Henderson's third consecutive year nominated in the category of Special Award for Humor and the second consecutive year Nickelodeon Magazine has been nominated as Best Anthology.
Named after the late comics genius Harvey Kurtzman, the Harvey Awards honor outs tanding work in comics and sequential art. Nominations for the Harvey Awards are selected exclusively by comics creators — those who write, draw, ink, letter, color, design, edit, or are otherwise involved in a creative capacity in the comics field. The 2001 Harvey Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday, April 27th at the Pittsburgh Comicon.
Sam Henderson's boisterously entertaining work has been charming readers for years — in newspapers across the U.S., in Nickelodeon Magazine, in DC Comics' Cartoon Network Presents, and in his own hilarious comic book series, Magic Whistle.
